I am currently a postdoctoral researcher\/instructor in the <a title=\"Department of Anatomy\" href=\"http:\/\/www.anat.stonybrook.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\">Department of Anatomical Sciences at Stony Brook University<\/a>\u00a0where I teach cadaver-based human anatomy to first year medical students. I am researching the evolution of flight in theropods via neuroscience. To do this, I analyze the changes in shape of the brain using geometric morphometrics and assess how the brain is used during different behaviors in living birds via positron emission tomography.\u00a0I have also been known to dabble in Crocodylian morphometrics and phylogenetics, which was the topic of my masters thesis.<\/p>\n<p>Bienvenidos a mi p\u00e1gina de investigac\u00ed\u00f3n. Actualmente soy una instructora en el <a title=\"Department of Anatomy\" href=\"http:\/\/www.anat.stonybrook.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\">Departmento de Ciencias Anat\u00f3micas de la Universidad de Stony Brook<\/a>\u00a0donde ense\u00f1o anatom\u00eda humana sobre la base de cad\u00e1veres. Estoy investigando la evoluci\u00f3n del vuelo en los ter\u00f3podos a trav\u00e9s de la neurociencia. Para ello, analizo los cambios en la forma del cerebro mediante morfometr\u00eda geom\u00e9trica y evaluo c\u00f3mo se utiliza el cerebro durante diferentes comportamientos de las aves vivas a trav\u00e9s de la tomograf\u00eda por emisi\u00f3n de positrones.
